In chapters three, four and five the story switches between Sally and his friends in their late teens and in Sally's adult years as he is shown as an inmate sentenced to prison giving his side of the story of what actually occurred. The first two chapters focus on Sally in his early teen years. The player controls Sally as they explore different areas, communicate with the residents living there and solve puzzles. The game follows a young man named Sally Face (real name Sally Fisher) who, along with his friends Larry, Todd and Ash attempt to solve a series of mysteries within their apartment complex.
